A massive thank you to everybody who assisted, supported or participated in the annual Christmas Christopher Tickle charity game played yesterday. A rip-roaring, end to end, high scoring feast of champagne rugby was served up to a crowd of 150 spectators, with the game ending in a stunning 48-48 draw.
35 players made themselves available, from Colts up to 72 year old Bri Griffiths. All the players paid £10 to play, received match socks and match food, leaving about £7 of which went to the foundation. Special mention goes to match referee Nick Popodopoulos who has supported the annual event for many years.
Turkey curry and rice was served up after the match by Marie (thanks) before Colt, Shea Skillicorn entertained us in the guise of Michael Flatfoot, a long distance relative of Able Seaman Sam!
We raised a record amount of just over £600 for the Spinal Injury Research.
Keith Tickle sends his appreciation.
Happy New Year to all.
