Sponsors Day – Last Saturday of the Season.

There are a few Sunday Cup Finals yet to come but this Saturday marks the end of the 2018-19 Senior League Season, and with it the club are looking forward to welcoming and entertaining our generous sponsors: Sewards, Abtech, Snycro, Kilkern, TSA, Havas Lynx, ABC, County Milk, Owens, Rijo, Belmont Kitchens, Impact Catering, EDA, BPH, CBE, Flightbiz, Keyline, Bolton Cleaning, MP Power Projects, UltraWeld, Reeds, Contract Services, M&WFrieght, MRB, Austin Wilkinson, Connectix, T&J Conservatories, Grant Thornton, PLP, QualitySave, Ramsdale Joinery, Groundtech. The club is always thankful of the contributions and support they make and setting a day aside to show our appreciation is the least we can do. Alongside our volunteers, our sponsors are very literally what keeps the club open and operational from one year to the next.

We hope as many club members as possible will join us on Saturday when the 1XV face our visitors Garstang in the final game of the season. We hope there’ll be sunshine and something to celebrate. A victory for the 1XV will see them win promotion.

The 2XV are at De La Salle and on Sunday the Senior Colts are at Widnes in the Lancashire U18 Trophy Final (Colts Team bus departs Eccles 1130am, Supporters bus departs 1300) Good luck to everyone pulling on the Navy n’ White hoops this weekend.

  • REPORT: A 7-24 win away at Marple last weekend moved Eccles above Orrell into 2nd place. The last time Garstang and Eccles met was 1st September for the opening game of 2018/19 league season . Eccles were a new group rebuilding then and came away with 5 points in the end, but were made to work very hard for the 30-34 result. Garstang have a lot left in the tank and claimed a big score over Port Sunlight last weekend. Eccles can secure promotion back to Level 7 with a win.

  • REPORT: The League title is in the cabinet and the colts are now focused on this the first of two cup finals. If you enjoy fast, unpredictable edge of your seat rugby and late decisive points the Eccles Colts will not disappoint! The team have proven they can handle pressure and have the grit and resolve to dig deep in high stakes games. It’s not how you start that counts, it’s how you finish and the colts are making a strong charge to the line.
