What attracted you to Eccles RFC?  I was very lucky. In year 7 of high school, two coaches from Eccles came down and introduced us to Rugby Union. After that first session I did, I had to go down to the club I enjoyed it that much!

If someone was unsure about playing rugby, what advice would you give to persuade them?  Go and do it! You’ve got nothing to lose, you will fall in love with it and will never look back on your decision you made! You will make friends for life and the social side will be amazing too.

STEPPING UP TO THE SENIORS: HOLLY WINSTANLEY

What attracted you to Eccles RFC? Mutual friends and the opportunities available when I joined.

If someone was unsure about playing rugby, what advice would you give to persuade them?Rugby helps to build your confidence, respect and discipline in everyday life. Rugby helps you to become the best person you can be.The pride you feel when playing on the pitch is one that isn’t felt in any other sport. You play for the badge on the shirt but also for the person next to you. I would tell them you will fall in love with the game instantly, and size and ability doesn’t matter because in a sport like rugby you develop off those around you weekly.
