Volunteer: Maddocks gets kitted up.

The club is delighted to announce the appointment of ANDY MADDOCKS as your new KIT SHOP MANAGER 👏

Maddocks, how long have you been a club member? I’ve been a club member at Eccles since I was 11 years old, so 22 years.

What attracted you to the volunteer role of Kit Shop Manager? I was encouraged to see it was a role that I was well-suited to take on  (My wife kindly volunteered me).

What does your role involve? Co-ordination with the official Eccles RFC kit supplier for all team ordershttps://www.oneills.com/uk_en/catalog/category/view/id/2909 There will also be a few selected items kept in stock at the club.  I’ll be your first point of contact for any stash enquiries!

What’s the best item of Eccles RFC Kit?   The Navy and White playing jersey. It’s an honor to represent the club on a rugby feild.

What advice would you give to someone unsure about volunteering ?  If someone has some spare time to help down at the club, in any role, I’d encourage them to get involved as any assistance is welcomed and benefits the club as a whole.

A Rugby club doesn’t run itself, it needs an army of volunteers. Since 1897, Eccles RFC has grown to 300+ players and 18 Senior and Junior teams. To ensure the club’s continued success, we need your support and skills. There are lots of vacant roles we need to fill to be a full strength team next season. Why not help out?
